Situated 22kms from Arusha, and 30 kms from Kilimanjaro Airport, JRO, Mount Meru Game Lodge is nestled between Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro, within 33 acres of mature, well manicured gardens.

Its main attraction is the neighboring game sanctuary, from the hotel itself you can see zebras, waterbuck, buffaloes, peacocks, ostriches, monkeys and many more animals. An enormous variety of birds come to feed and breed.
The Mount Meru Game Lodge comprises 2 suites and 15 double or twin insuite bedrooms.
All rooms are individualistic styled in African decor, and have a veranda with comfortable chairs where guests may relax during the late afternoons enjoying the peace of the surroundings.
The lounge, with its enormous picture windows and comfortable furniture, provides for complete relaxation in intimate surroundings at a campfire.
The bar is well stocked with a wide selection of spirits, beers and minerals which are complemented by a carefully selected collection of fine wines and the fine dining room provides the perfect setting for a relaxing meal.

Wireless internet connectivity is also available throughout the main building of the lodge, in the gardens and in most guest bedrooms.
Aside from the more usual excursions, we offer you the possibility of visiting the area immediately surrounding the Mount Meru Game Lodge. These walks include ‘Cultural and Educational’ visits to local villages and farms as well as sightseeing tours to some of the natural forests and scenic spots in the area. Each walk is carefully planned according to the guests wishes.
There is a large terrace, shaded by old Mango trees, enjoys views over the gardens to the Sanctuary beyond
Mount Meru Game Lodge is a very popular stop over for many VIP’s and Government visitors. Various Presidents of African Countries, celebrities, and members of European Royal Families stayed at the Lodge and a visit to the Sanctuary was always included in the official itineraries of Government visitors when in Arusha.
